About

My name is Victoria. I’m a student at the University of Iowa studying Music Therapy. I am a member of the saxophone studio and (now former) member of the Hawkeye Marching Band.

I am currently receiving treatment for social anxiety disorder, general anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and depression.

I have used coping mechanisms such as baking/cooking, making bracelets, cutting, smoking, writing, reading, meditation, and EMDR.

This is the road less traveled by for a good reason.

  1. That’s really interesting that you’re studying Music Therapy. I love making music, and playing instruments and singing are a form of release when I get angry, upset, nervous or down. Anxiety really sucks. I hope that things can change for you. 🙂

  2. I suffer from general anxiety and panic disorders as well. Truly, my coping skill has been blogging. I’m amazed at how much it has helped. Feel free to check out my blog, maybe you can find some feelings to relate to.
